Baofeng UV-9G Charging

When my radio is in or out of the charging cradle, the charging cradle always alternately flashes red and green. Per the instruction manual this should mean "No battery", but the battery is attached (or I couldn't put it in the cradle) and functions normally. The radio is off and is firmly in the charging cradle when I try to charge it, but I always get the same lighting result.

  Nevermind.  I was using the term firmly loosely.
