Basic Keypad Overview
The Baofeng BF-F9V2+ hand-held transceiver comes standard with a full numeric keypad.
The numeric buttons have their secondary function printed on them also. The *Scan and buttons also have secondary functions, scan and keypad lock respectively.
Menu - Allows you to access the menu and to confirm menu options.
- used to navigate through menu items, as well as to select channels and frequency.
Exit - Allows you to exit the menu you have selected or are currently viewing.
Step - Allows you to access your frequency steps (2.5/5/6.25/10/12.5/20/25/50kHz)
TXP - Allows you to switch and set transmission power (High/Medium/Low)
Save - Allows you to access your Battery Saver settings (OFF/1/2/3/4)
*Scan - Allows you to swap through TX/RX frequencies, scan and set RX CTCCS/DCS tones.
VOX - Allows you to set your voice operated transmission settings (OFF/0 - 10)
W N - Allows you to switch between Wideband and Narrowband settings (WIDE/NARR)
ABR - Allows you to adjust the display illumination time length. (Off/1/2/3/4/5 seconds)
SQL - Allows you to access the squelch settings and adjust squelch levels (0 - 9)
TDR - Allows you to switch between dual watch and dual reception. (Off/On)
BEEP - Allows you to adjust the keypad's beep sound. (Off/On)
TOT - Allows you to access your transmission timer settings. (15/30/45/60.../585/600 seconds.
- Allows you to switch between high and low power, as well as to lock/unlock the keypad.
